Our aim is to inspire you to take control of your health and eat more consciously. Our approach to whole food plant based living is understanding why ‘what’ we eat and ‘how’ we eat is so important.
First thing’s first, we start by taking a look at your current health habits – the ‘how’ we eat – the buying choices and eating habits and of course, your pantry is the first place we look to getting those answers!
Throwing out mouldy unidentifiable liquid from a container at the back of the fridge, floppy carrots, squishy beets.. better still, a few tins right at the back of your pantry dated within cooey of 2011. We’ve all been there. All that time, effort and money spent at the supermarket goes hand in hand with the same wasteful behaviour that goes into throwing it. We know the drill.. most of us, with the exceptions of an amazing few, are far too busy to be taking care of the contents of our fridge/pantry on a weekly basis.
Through Plant Strong Living, we help boost your food waste awareness and grow your confidence in pantry management. Did you know, that if you didn’t buy any food for an entire week, with the exception of a few fresh produce items (preferably of the green variety), you would surprise yourself with what scrumptious meals you can still throw together for you and your family. A lot of us have more ‘play’ ingredients in our pantries than we realise. If you can just resist the temptation of buying more food because you’ve seen an awesome recipe on social media, and instead experiment with what you have you’d be saving hundreds of dollars not to mention dramatically reducing your food waste.
Addressing your current buying habits and expanding your culinary skills is a great starting point to streamlining your pantry and we’re on hand to help with both, inside our 21 day challenge. Happy days!
Oh.. and on that note, if you have a favourite ‘rustle-up-something’ WFPB recipe you’d like to share with us, we’d love to hear it! If we try it out, we might add it to our food box menu!
